06.19.09 - BANGLES GIVE AR SHOUT OUT!

Our shows with The Bangles were a success! Thanks for coming out and supporting us in this latest formation. For those of you not in attendance, we played these shows as a foursome, with Kristen on bass guitar and Nini Camps on lead vocals and acoustic rhythm guitar. Cathy & Dena were business as usual on lead guitar and drums. The band played several new songs Kristen & Nini have written together, along with a few collaborations with Garrison Starr. And a few classic Antigone songs were sprinkled in! The shows were so much fun that we've decided to write some more and we plan to do a few more shows in late August and September. Also, Vicki Peterson from The Bangles gave the four of us a shout out on CNN.com. It's toward the end of the interview when The Bangles are asked "what female bands out there impress them?" She mentioned Antigone Rising and gave us major words of encouragement backstage during our dates together that were extremely inspirational to us. We're very greatful to The Bangles for inviting us out and making it such a memorable experience.
